Join us for a hands-on workshop that reimagines old materials into new stories. Using archival and found objects such as magazines, postcards, photographs, slides, and strips of celluloid film, participants will learn creative collage and remixing techniques to transform fragments of the past into personal works of art. The makerspace will also be stocked with a range of paper supplies, fiber and fabric materials, scrapbooking supplies, and other craft materials. Participants are welcome to bring their own archival items or keepsakes to incorporate. (Photocopies of your 2D materials can be made in the makerspace if you would prefer not to use the originals.)
