Makerspace Urbana is located in the basement of the Independent Media Center. You can get to it from the ramp on the north side of the building, from the stairs down on the south side of the building, or by entering the IMC from the stairs on the west side, walking past the birds, and turning right twice to find the stairs down.

Everyone is excited to learn the Makerspace has a laser cutter. Now is the time to learn how to actually use the thing. Come to the makerspace and we will learn to how to design for the laser, and how to safely operate it. We will etch and cut shapes from wood, plastic, and leather, and take home the results.

If you have a laptop please bring it to follow along.
