Heartland Maker Fest
One of Makerspace Urbana’s major events each year is the Heartland Maker Fest. The Fest is a family-friendly celebration featuring rockets and robots, DIY science and technology, alternative energy, modded bicycles, unique hand-made crafts, music, art, and educational workshop installations. Last year we had over 2,200 people come through the event!
We are currently looking for sponsors who are able to financially support the Fest. It costs around $5,000 to put on the event and the majority of the money comes from Makerspace Urbana’s funds as we’ve gotten less money from the city each year. We would like to keep the Heartland Maker Fest free so that everyone in our community can attend. That’s why we need your help!
If you know of a company or individual who is able to provide financial support, please send us their contact information and we’ll follow-up. We’re looking for sponsors at any level (from $100+ to $1000+).
If you have any questions or would like to send us contact information for a company or individual, email us at contact@heartlandmakerfest.org
Prior to rebranding as the Heartland Maker Fest, Makerspace Urbana hosted an annual Urbana-Champaign Mini Maker Faire from 2011-2013. For more info just visit ucmakerfaire.com
